Connect with the past and explore nostalgia in this collection of old family papers and ephemera dating back to the early 1900's. Find inspiration in this collection to create unique book page art using image transfer and collage. You’ll be able to use the old papers, ephemera, stencils, stampers, and textured painting techniques to create fascinating images, which we will finish in mount board frames. Backstory on this workshop from your tutor Anna Campbell: In 2019 I inherited a collection of family paperwork dating back to the early 1900's. This extensive collection is in a beautiful old leather suitcase, which I will make available for you to explore. Dip into this fantastic collection and start conversations about the change in how we communicate as we explore the letters, telegrams, and old newspapers. Choose your favourite items and I will guide you in effective image transfer techniques and collage composition.
