Service Description
About The Workshop Explore the magic of Autumn and enjoy a relaxed morning creating your own Autumnal themed collage, inspired by all of the season’s joys, associations and comforts. Autumn is the perfect time to engage with your creative flow. A time for balance, creating new habits, harmony, introspection and reflection. This session aims to help you nurture your creative expression and connect with your creative soul. A time to discover a sense of purpose in your creative practice and to build a visually metaphorical home for the winter months ahead. We will use this time to create a personal piece for you to take away, keep and reflect upon as we enter the cooler and darker times ahead. Collage journalling can be a powerful tool for personal reflection and to help you visually explore your inner life, thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams. Throughout this two and a half hour collage session you will delve into a wide selection of paper materials, choosing images and words that are relevant or that you feel drawn to in some way, to create your own unique journal page, combining images and words to express thoughts, memories and dreams through the art of collage. Free from rules, an anything goes attitude, this collage session will allow you to create and express yourself freely! Perfectly suitable for beginners, dabblers and seasoned collagists wanting a bit of time to yourself for a mid-week mindful moment and to reset for the months ahead the inspiring walls of the Silk Museum. What’s Included: • Expert guidance from professional artist and teacher. • All materials provided. • A free-flow creative session allowing you time for personal reflection, inspiration and to creatively express yourself. • Walk away with at least one hand-crafted piece to keep and a set of new skills to return to. • Community connection, a sense of calm and a Coffee n' Cafe break to recharge.
