Our code of conduct and health and safety policy
Code of Conduct and Health and Safety All participants, volunteers and artists must agree to: 1. Respect other participants, volunteers, tutors and museum staff. Abusive, harassing or threatening behaviour is not tolerated. Please consider others’ space and their need to focus on their work. 2. Please ask permission before taking photos or digital recordings in sessions. 3 Follow all safety instructions and guidance from staff. 4. Please do not attend sessions if you are under the influence of alcohol or other substances which might affect reaction time and co-ordination. Being obviously under the influence of these substances can also cause discomfort to the participants and staff and effect others’ learning experience. Please inform the school director if you are currently taking medication which may affect your co-ordination and we will do our best to support your needs. 5. Please smoke away from the museum garden and entrance. 6. Art books, materials or equipment belonging to NMSOA must stay in the building. 7. Be responsible for your personal property and ensure bags stay under tables and coats are hung up. 8. Do not bring dogs into the classroom except registered assistance dogs. 9. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult in public workshops. Under 16s classes must be lead by a tutor with an enhanced disclosure certificate.
